When you arrive at the entrance to Fable Terrace Downs Resort you know right away you’re in a very special place. The sweeping drive to this luxury wedding venue is framed by the Southern Alps, which when dusted in snow are just magical! The perfect spot for wedding photos.
Our happy Christchurch based couple got married on the lawn terrace next to the gorge with Mount Hutt and her majestic neighbours as their backdrop.
Samitha + Himali’s wedding was an intimate occasion and one that we describe as a ‘Micro Wedding’ as they had no more than 50 guests. Terrace Downs is a wonderful wedding venue and they can host large weddings and also elopements too.
We absolutely loved Himali’s faux fur shrug for keeping the chill off her shoulders. Early spring is a great time of year to get married as there is still plenty of snow on the peaks.
Our groom wanted some photographs with his beloved… motorbike. We absolutely loved incorporating his wheels into Samitha + Himali’s wedding portraits and capturing a bit of a James Dean vibe! Our black and white edits are timeless photographs. Images that will remain forever cool.
From the ceremony to the cake… everything about this beautiful wedding was a joy to photograph. We can’t wait to shoot another wedding at Terrace Downs. It really is a stunning Canterbury wedding venue with superb in-house event planners, catering and accommodation on site. It’s got it all!
