Cossars Wineshed Wedding Photography + Film

Kia ora, we're Robin + Andie, a wedding photography and film studio who've spent a lot of good days at Cossars Wineshed.

Cossars sits among the vines at Tai Tapu, about twenty minutes from central Christchurch. Close enough that nobody's making a trek of it, far enough out that the day feels like a proper escape from town.

Shooting at Cossars

Three ceremony spots means three quite different days, and each one changes how we work. A clearing in among the grapevines, the lawn looking out over the vines, or the barn itself. Knowing which way each one faces, and how that plays as the afternoon goes on, is half the job done before we arrive.

Then there's the courtyard as the light drops. The festoon lights come on and portraits there look completely different to anything you'll get earlier in the day.

The barn's rimu floors and the big rustic doors give you a completely different look again, so a single wedding here can span vineyard, garden and barn without anyone getting in a car.

Natural, documentary and unposed. We capture what actually happens rather than directing it, so your day belongs to you and not to a shot list.

Elopements and smaller weddings

Cossars works just as well for a small group as a full celebration, and the vineyard clearing in particular suits an intimate ceremony. We shoot elopements here regularly.
