Pemberton Gardens Wedding Photography + Film
Kia ora, we're Robin + Andie, a wedding photography and film studio who've photographed and filmed a lot of weddings at Pemberton Gardens.
Pemberton is tucked away at Prebbleton, a short drive from Christchurch. It's private and enclosed in a way most garden venues aren't, so the day feels contained rather than being shared with passers-by.
Shooting at Pemberton
The garden does the work here. Established trees, winding paths and planting that changes through the season, which means a February wedding and an October one look like completely different venues. Worth knowing if you've seen photos from a particular month and are hoping for the same thing.
Everything sits within a short walk, so ceremony, portraits and celebration all happen in the same grounds without anyone getting in a car. That's a bigger deal than it sounds, because the time you'd otherwise lose travelling stays in the day.
On a hot Canterbury afternoon the mature trees are the useful part. Shade in a garden venue means portraits that aren't squinting into hard midday light, and there's plenty of it here.
The pagoda and the courtyards give you a few distinct backdrops, and there's a purpose-built indoor space when the weather turns, which in Canterbury is not a small thing.
Our approach
Natural, documentary-led and unobtrusive. We photograph what actually happens and let the day set its own pace.
That's Wedding Photos With Good Vibes® in practice. Relaxed on the ground, and photos and films that feel like the day rather than a set of poses.
Wedding films at Pemberton Gardens

Elopements and smaller weddings
The garden suits an intimate celebration as readily as a full wedding, and the enclosed setting means a small group never feels lost in the space.
