Sorna + Fraser // Cossars Wineshed Wedding

Sorna and Fraser’s wedding at Cossars Wineshed was a joyful, cross-cultural celebration that brought together family and friends from Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand. Held among the olive trees and vines of this much-loved Canterbury wedding venue, the day was bursting with laughter, heartfelt moments and colour.

Hair and makeup artists Beth and Anna worked their magic on the girls in the morning, creating elegant, natural looks that lasted right through to the dance floor.

Sorna was radiant in a gold embroidered sari, her hands decorated with beautiful henna, while Fraser paid tribute to her heritage by wearing traditional Indian attire himself – a touching gesture and a lovely surprise for many guests.

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere at Cossars was buzzing. The ceremony set-up among the vines looked absolutely stunning from above – we captured sweeping drone shots of the arch, florals, and rows of chairs waiting for guests to arrive.

One of our favourite moments was watching Sorna’s mum waiting halfway down the aisle to meet her daughter, joining her and her dad to walk her down the aisle together – a simple but powerful family moment. And just when we thought our hearts couldn’t get any fuller, we saw Fraser’s grandma step up as the ring bearer, beaming with pride.

After the ceremony, the couple’s mums stepped forward as witnesses, signing the marriage documents with grace and huge smiles. It was such a lovely way to honour them and their support.

We captured loads of candid shots as Sorna and Fraser walked back down the aisle through a shower of confetti, surrounded by the smiling faces of family and friends.

In the courtyard at Cossars, the celebrations kicked off with drinks and family photos under the late summer sun. And then – plot twist – we discovered that MC and cousin Josh was actually the Josh Thomson, professional comedian and presenter! He was an absolute legend on the mic – effortlessly funny, warm, and helpful to us throughout the day.

As the light softened, we wandered with the wedding party through the olive trees and vineyard rows for relaxed wedding portraits, soaking in that golden hour magic that Cossars is known for.

Later, guests filled the indoor space for dinner, speeches and dancing – and we got an epic overhead shot of Sorna and Fraser’s first dance as their guests encircled them in celebration.

This wedding had it all – love, colour, laughter, heartfelt traditions, and so many little moments of meaning. It was such a privilege to photograph it all.

Our family and friends have been raving about the photos, and we’ve loved sharing them. We’re still taking our time going through them all (there are so many!), but we can’t wait to order an album and get some printed and framed once we’ve moved into our new home.
