Mt Vernon Lodge Wedding // Juliette + Braedon
Juliette + Braedon chose Mt Vernon Lodge as their Akaroa Wedding venue to celebrate with all their friends and family. It was one epic party! We love Mt Vernon as it’s our local wedding venue and best of all… there’s no curfew! That means the wedding party can kick on well into the night. This makes for great dance floor photos as everyone is able to have a great time and stay over in the cute cabins at the venue too. This is the best way to make sure your wedding celebrations are maximised! If your wedding guests are travelling from overseas or from all over New Zealand then you can’t beat Mt Vernon for its stunning location and on-site accommodation. Tucked away just above Akaroa village with views out to the harbour and surrounding hills, our drone is able to capture this amazing wedding location really well!
Juliette chose to get ready in the bridal cottage at Mt Vernon. While Juliette and her girls were getting ready, Braedon and his boys went jet-skiing. As you do on THE best day of your life! Our couples always remember to have fun on their wedding day. All that planning and money? Enjoy it!
The boys returned from being out on the water a little thirsty… and so they made sure their hip flasks were well topped up ;)
Braedon’s brothers are both real characters… and so to kick off the ceremony in style they sprinkled some joy (in the form of rose petals) from their bum-bags.
After the confetti cannons are fired it’s time to party!
After many congratulations and family photos we took our happy couple off site to some of our favourite locations for wedding pics. As we are local Akaroa wedding photographers we know all the best spots ;) Even on an overcast day, Akaroa is second to none for wedding photo locations in Canterbury. We are really spoilt for choice with our hilltops and beaches. Juliette + Braedon’s wedding party were super fun and totally up for a laugh. We loved all the brotherly bants too…
The banter continued during speeches…
After dessert we headed down to the wharf for some dusky blue hour portraits. Firstly, Braedon had to kick the local kids off the wharf… Haha.
After the most epic sunset shoot, we headed back to Mt Vernon for the shoe game and first dance. With DJ Dale on the decks the party was fully charged! Juliette and Braedon’s friends and family know how to have a good time and we were there on the dance floor with them all… capturing allllll the shapes.
Juliette + Braedon: “Robin + Andie were hands down the best vendors and photographers for our wedding. Nothing seemed like a problem for them! They took photos of the boys jet-skiing in the morning and stayed well into the night. They were kind and professional and worked amazingly alongside our videographer. Many of our guests commented about how they just blended in! We were sent a few photos the day after the wedding and got the whole album plus a slideshow in what seemed like no time at all. The photos are everything we could have hoped for and more. If you are getting married we can 100% recommend these two!”
