Curators House Wedding // Catherine + Gerald

Before Catherine + Gerald jetted off to Albania to get married, they held a very chic micro wedding at Curators House in Christchurch for their immediate family. We were delighted to photograph their pre-wedding photos and ceremony in the fabulous surroundings of Christchurch Botanic Gardens.

When an engagement ring makes you exclaim “Holy shit-balls!” that diamond deserves to be photographed next to the most romantic fountain and in gorgeous golden light.

After spending some time with our happy couple exploring the Botanic Gardens and taking them to some of our favourite spots for wedding photos, the ceremony was held in the private garden at Curators House. This lovely ‘legal wedding in NZ’ ahead of their destination wedding overseas was made even more special, as a good friend of the couple who is a registered celebrant was able to marry them.

What a spot for a first kiss in the late afternoon light. We love an autumnal wedding for the warm colours and amazing light.
