West Coast Wedding // Nat + Chris
If you’ve picked up the latest copy of Canterbury Bride you’ll have seen our gorgeous couple Chris + Nat’s West Coast wedding in the mag! These two tied the knot in Lake Brunner and everyone had such an awesome day. So much thought and time went into planning their big day and you can tell by the details!
Nat + Chris both booked Airbnb’s near Moana to get ready. Nat’s pad was on the mainline looking out across the lake. Nat wanted a festival wedding vibe, with cowboy boots, dried florals and a natural emerald green theme. Clever Nat even sourced and put together her own florals and button holes.
Chris gave Nat a gorgeous bottle of Chanel perfume as a wedding day gift. He’s a keeper.
Chris and the boys got ready at a local Airbnb surrounded by beautiful natural bush. They also got the cowboy boots brief! This wedding was going to be a real hoedown…
Nat’s girls made sure she didn’t have anything stuck between her teeth and kept her glass topped up at all times. That’s what best friends do!
Ahead of the ceremony Nat wanted to do some pre-ceremony photos where Chris wasn’t allowed to see her! A kind of ‘first look’ but without the look! It was important to Chris that he saw Nat for the first time as she came down the aisle.
Doing photos ahead of the ceremony is always so much fun!
Surrounded by their children, family and friends, Nat + Chris said their heartfelt vows. The dairy farm they both work on was a beautiful location for their ceremony, surrounded by stunning West Coast hills and mountains.
Right after the ceremony, Nat + Chris were whisked off by helicopter to do some shots with Robin and their wedding party up in the mountains (while Andie got to stay on the ground with their guests and snap some candids etc)
The mountain shots with the “I do” crew were SO epic and so much fun!
Back on the ground, Nat + Chris’s reception was in full swing at their local country hall - Rotomanu Hall. Such a sweet little wooden hall that was decorated to perfection with an outdoor BBQ and grazing boards too.
The gold at the end of the rainbow is actually our gorgeous couple, Nat + Chris! This day couldn’t have been more perfect for these two. No need to worry about a little rain when you get an awesome rainbow right after it.
What an entrance! Man, we love confetti cannons so much. If you’re wondering if you should get some… yes, yes you should!
Sunset photos down by the lake were such a treat. We drove towards the sun and chased down that precious golden light.
We were so pleased to see that Nat + Chris had booked Brad Staley - one of the best wedding bands in the South Island. We love photographing the dance floor when these guys are playing.
