As local Akaroa wedding photographers we were delighted when Emma + Nathan asked us to capture their very special New Zealand wedding ahead of their UK celebrations later in the year. They couldn’t have picked a better location for a summer wedding in New Zealand. Akaroa weddings are the best and we know all the good spots!

Our happy couple had arranged exclusive hire of the most fabulous Akaroa wedding venue - Mt Vernon Lodge. The cabins on site are perfect for getting ready, pre-drinks and celebrations (ahead of the main celebration!) and there’s no need to worry about curfews when you can arrange accommodation for everyone attending your wedding and have a big sleep over with all your favourite people! Emma + Nathan had their closest family and friends along for a huge weekend of fun.

Local Akaroa celebrant, Phillipa Linton officiated Emma + Nathan’s ceremony in her relaxed and warm style. The couple exchanged rings in front of Mt Vernon’s incredible view of Akaroa Harbour. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day for a wedding! The sun was shining down on everyone and we were so pleased that our stylish bride had a beautiful white sun hat for her wedding portraits. We adore hats!

Our wedding portraits began down the road from Mt Vernon at our iconic wharf. Andie may or may not have asked swimmers bombing off Daly’s Wharf to hold off (or get orf the wharf) for a few mins while we captured these magical, summer wedding moments for our happy couple! Anything to get the perfect shot for our clients and no-one seemed to mind at all!
